NBA 2K23 THE CITY TRAILER
The City is the hoopers paradise, and the World of Basketball for the 2K community where the MyCAREER storyline is seamlessly integrated into the metropolis. But with feedback from the community emphasizing that they want a more streamlined experience that focuses on just hooping, or the MyCAREER journey, we decided to take a different approach with the trailer.
By leading with MyCAREER’s cinematic storyline in a separate tentpole moment coupled with the J.Cole cover unveil, it allowed us to centralize our efforts in making the most impactful City trailer since the inception of the environment in 2K21.
We avoided dialogue, unnecessary side quest visuals the community deemed pointless and hero’d the environment where only the game does the talking.
